A Life Well Lived

For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing. (2 Timothy 5:6-8)

A Life Well Lived

A life well lived
Is one of sacrifice
That is marked by endurance
And looking ahead to the final day.

A life well lived
Has intentionallity on every breath
As a fighter seeking a prize
Or a runner focussed on the finish line.

A life well lived
Is nothing less then a life of faith.
Faith that has eyes set on eternity
Because we are sowing to Christ appearance.

A life well lived
Is a life lived for Christ,
He is our righteous judge
And the One that makes us righteous.
